We hope you enjoy looking through the photos showing the total renovation of Wembley Downs including redecorating every room, front and back gardens and patio.
Bought & sold pictures
We bought this house on a battle axe block in 2009. It was on a busy road but because it was located on the back block, the traffic noise wasn’t too much of a problem. Our plan was to modernise the house, adjust the floor lay out a little and separate the patio from the car port.
We bought this house …..
Front garden & carport
We wanted to render the house and create some sort of separation between the car port and the back garden.
Kitchen
In the kitchen we planned to knock down the wall around the kitchen units, extend the kitchen to the end of the houe and just generally moderinse it.
TV room
In this room, we wanted to change the floor plan a bit to separate what would become a new, larger kitchen and install sliding cavity doors to shut the tv noise off from the rest of the house.
Lounge
We didn’t plan or need to do too much to this room, just update and redecorate it.
Master bedroom & en-suite
In the dressing room we installed an IKEA cuboard and modernised the en-suite. The bedroom did not need much, just painting and decorating.
Family bathroom
This bathroom was in desperate need of updating!
Back garden & patio
The garden needed a bit of care and attention but the “patio” structure needed to be demolished!
Floor plan
We sold this house …..
Front garden & car port
We rendered the exterior of the house, blocked off the front garden from the car port and tidied up the garden. Some more photos can be seen in our blog.
Kitchen
Here, we extended the kitchen, installed new cupboards and counter tops. We also laid new wooden flooring over the old white tiles throughout the living area. You can see more photos in our blog.
TV lounge
We installed cavity sliding doors to keep the TV noise in the room. We also installed a new stud wall to enclose the room and separate it from the new extended kitchen. More photos can be seen here.
Lounge
There wasnt much to do in this room – we laid a new floor, hung some new blinds and painted.
Dining room & office
Not much needed doing here – so we just painted and added the new floor.
Master bedroom & en-suite
In the en-suite we laid new floor tiles and bathroom fittings. The bedroom – we painted and laid the new timber flooring and added some IKEA wardrobes to the walk-in-robe.
Bedrooms 2, 3 & 4
We didnt do anything structural to these rooms, we just painted and furnished them.
Family bathroom & laundry
We updated both of these rooms for looks and functionality. You can see the sliding door insert with a doggie door at the bottom!
Back garden & patio
We did quite a a lot of work to the garden and patio area. We removed the old wooden structure and replaced it with a weather proof one. Tidied the garden and installed a spa. All the work made a huge change – you can see more details here.
