We hope you enjoy looking through these pictures that show the total renovation of our townhouse including redecorating every room, front & back gardens & patio.
Bought & sold pictures
In April 2019 we bought this lovely, townhouse. It was in a really good location, just a bit tired & dated! We felt sure that it would be worth spending some time & effort on the house. It was located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac with a short golf course, lake, dog park & cafes close by. Our plan was to knock out a few walls, add a second bathroom & freshen everything up!
We bought this townhouse…
Car port & entrance to the unit
We wanted to remove the planter boxes to make more space for storage in this area.
Kitchen
Here, we wanted to knock down a few walls to open the kitchen up. That would allow us to add a few more cupboards as well.
Front door, dining room & lounge
We planned to move the front door, knock down a few walls and give everything a fresh coat of paint.
Master bedroom
Not much to do in this room, just a new carpet & paint the walls. Oh & remove the shutters!
Second bedroom
This bedroom would be the same as the master – a new carpet & fresh coat of paint.
Upstairs bathroom
In this room we will remove the stubby wall & we’ll put in a new vanity.
Back garden & patio
The garden needed tidying & we wanted to make the patio more useful.
Floor plan
We sold this townhouse …..
Carport & entrance to the unit
Here, we removed the planter boxes & paved the area leaving room for a garden shed & some pot plants. You can read a bit more about the front garden reno here.
Kitchen
We knocked down the kitchen wall to create an open plan look. We painted the cupboard doors and added new splashback & breakfast bar. A more detailed photo journey of the changes can be seen here.
Front door & lounge
In this area we knocked down a small wall and moved the front door. We added cornice to the ceilings and gave everything a fresh coat of paint. The paint we used on the walls throughout the house was Dulux Silkwort and high gloss white enamel on all the trim. We have a detailed post on this reno if you fancy a look.
Master bedroom & balcony
In this room we removed the shutters, painted and put down new carpeting.
Second bedroom
Here, all we needed to do was give the room a good coat of paint.
Third bedroom
In this bedroom we added some cupboards, a ceiling fan and painted.
Upstairs bathroom & landing
In the bathroom we knocked down the wall and installed a new vanity. The tiles are original and we hung a new mirror. We carpeted the entire upstairs area and a new light fitting over the stairwell. We have a short post on this renovation here.
Laundry/shower room & toilet
We converted the laundry into a shower room/laundry combined. The little wooden hole in the wall is for the dog to make nature visits! Details of this renovation are in our laundry post.
Back garden & patio
We tidied up the garden and made the patio weatherproof. That meant we could use it whatever the weather! If you would like to see more details of this transformation you can find them in our back garden & patio post!
Floor & site plan
